We are currently seeking experienced and reliable HGV Class 2 Drivers to work within the Removals and Relocation sector, representing our clients in London.
As an agency-supplied driver, you’ll be expected to deliver high standards of service and professionalism, while maintaining flexibility with start times and locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate an HGV Class 2 (Category C) vehicle to safely transport household or commercial goods to and from designated locations.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of furniture and goods, including heavy lifting.
- Carry out pre-use vehicle checks and ensure the vehicle is roadworthy and compliant.
- Liaise with customers in a professional and courteous manner on-site.
- Work as part of a removals crew when required, supporting porters and team leaders.
- Follow route and time schedules provided by the transport office.
- Maintain accurate delivery paperwork and logs.
Requirements
- Valid UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
- CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) and Digital Tachograph Card
- Minimum 6 months of recent HGV Class 2 driving experience (removals experience desirable)
- Physically fit – the role includes heavy lifting and manual handling
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Flexible with working hours, including occasional potential overnight stays and weekends
Pay and Benefits
- £20 per hour PAYE
